If you need an avenue to release the tension and pressures of work whilst in front of your computer, you should head no further than funatiq.com/. Funatiq is a very entertaining blog and has lots of humor interspersed in its pages. The design and colors are very bold and match extremely well with the theme and content of the website. The name of the blog itself is rather creative and is a play on the words fun and fanatic.

The content is updated regularly and features funny and amusing stories and pictures from around the Internet. However, some of the content can be considered NSFW or Not Safe for Work, and may be objectionable to people who may be easily offended by graphically explicit material. There are 15 categories of funny posts, namely Crazy and Funny, Fake and Comical, Funny Ads, Funny and Dangerous, Funny and Ingenious, Funny animals, Funny art, Funny Cartoons, Funny Celebrities, Funny Children, Interesting and Funny, Nice and Sexy, Not so Funny and Strange but Hilarious.

Funatiq.com also features a random picture on the top right hand corner which lends even more life to the website. The website also showcases recent posts so that readers who visit the site regularly can quickly view the latest posts. At the bottom of every page, there are four sections which feature the content on the website in different but complementing ways. The first of these is the Most Viewed Posts section, which lists the 10 most viewed posts on the page, including the number of views each post has received. At the time of writing, the top post alone had received over 8400 posts. The next two sections highlight the recent comments posted by the readers, as well as the top 10 commenters. The final section showcases the most rated posts, which is in many ways similar to the most viewed, except it takes into account the number of people who actually rated an article after viewing it. This sometimes can carry more meaning than most viewed posts alone since it shows which posts were interesting enough for users to actually take the trouble to rate and comment about.

Besides the highly entertaining content, the website itself has been structured in a witty manner. For example, the FAQ section is called NAQ, which stands for Never Asked Questions, and as can be expected, the questions are as hilarious as the answers themselves. One interesting NAQ is “How many visitors do you have?” and the answer is “We have trillions of visitors and this year we had some visitors from another planet.” This alone should be able to give a picture of the kind of wacky website Funatiq is.
